On this project from first look to final update, I created the marketing strategy, go to market plan, community building, influencer program, and drove each stage and the items involved. ISLANDERS: New Shores was a pleasure to work on!

1. First Look at Project CC86
The development team share Project CC86, known as “ISLANDERS 2 New Horizons”. I play the game, ask about all the new features they have added, learn what has inspired their designs, gameplay, and art style.

2. Strategic Planning
Reviewing the budget available, KPIs to achieve, and opportunities available, I created the Go To Market Plan for ISLANDERS: New Shores. This included Assets, Advertising, Community Building, Creators and Influencers, Demos, Events, Gameplay Feedback, Opportunities, Organic Discovery, Paid Media, Post Launch Content, Press, Retention, Social Campaigns, Trailers, everything!

3. Public Announcement
Branding, product identity, positioning, logo design, trailer creation, feedback rounds, polish, communicating with devs, press kits, pr & comms, social strategy, social assets, social accounts created and updated, all to support the announcement for ISLANDERS: New Shores.

4. Community Strategy
Demo, updates, community building... Announcement to release day was filled with marketing activities to get as many wishlists as possible. This included community engagement, showcasing, feedback rounds and product improvement.

5. Dev Plays and Social Media
Dev Plays, Tiktoks, Instagram Reels, Reddit posts, Bluesky, the plan was to try a little bit of everything, and see where our content was resonating with audiences. The results?
• Fun discovery through trends = TikTok.
• In depth discussion = YouTube
• Gameplay and mechanics focused = Reddit
• Scatter visibility = Instagram Reels, Bluesky, Twitter/X
6. Content Roadmap
Hours of relationship building with the developers pays off, we create a fantastic post launch content plan (with dev sign off!) to ensure players have content to look forward to. A fancy infographic is created and I share the good news on Steam and socials - We even localised the content roadmap too.
7. Release Date Announcement and Wholesome Direct 2025
ISLANDERS: New Shores was featured in Wholesome Direct 2025.
This involved press announcement, trailer creation, event coordination, social support, and hyping up the studio to make sure to watch!
8. Influencers and Release Day
ISLANDERS: New Shores is released! Revamped key art, a release trailer, social support, social campaign, streamer strategy, all platform store pages live and showcased on socials, all live according to plan 😎
